To the person who dropped their dog off at the shelter, pretending he was a stray, he cried when you left him and waited for you to come back for him. It's obvious he isn't a stray, he knows sit, down and shake, he is house broken and despite your best efforts, he trust people, strays don't know those things. He might be a chewer, but he is a puppy and if you tell him no, he stops. He's my dog now, he will be loved, and cherished, no matter where he pees or what item he destroys. He's my dog now and together we will work through any issues he might have. To the person who pretended not to know his dog and dumped him at a high kill shelter, today I hate you, tomorrow there will be another person just like you to take your place. I rescue dogs for a living and there are no shortages of people like you who treat their dogs like property instead of a family member. You would never guess when you threw him away that he would be worth so much to me, that he would become a therapy dog and brighten peoples lives. You would never guess that despite finding homes for all the dogs I've rescued, I can't let go of this dog and we've found a home in each other... yes, that dog. To the person who thought they had a bad dog, you were a bad owner.
